Walking to Everest BC for Black Dog
Story
Last year we walked the famed Kokoda Track as a personal challenge to test our physical and mental boundaries. Along the way we raised $17,500 for ‘The Black Dog Institute’.
This year we are taking on a slightly higher and colder challenge of Everest Base Camp and again we are raising funds for The Black Dog Institute, a not-for-profit organisation and world leader in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental illness such as depression, bipolar disorder and suicide.
Unfortunately Simon can't make this trip but my work colleague Hadyn Hewitt will be there side by side and no doubt stride for stride..
As we make the trek reaching 5,500 metres it would be amazing if you could help us raise money for the institute.

The Black Dog Institute is a not-for-profit organisation and world leader in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental illness such as depression, bipolar disorder and suicide.
We are the only mental health facility in Australia that combines clinical services, high quality translational research and education programs. We work to empower communities and help the stigma surrounding mental illness.
The Black Dog Institute has 4 important goals:

treat them using innovative, effective and accessible strategies,
prevent their onset by understanding why and who they affect
to reduce the overall impact of mental illness and save lives.
